Heyas..

Here's BORDEAUX/ACTIVE with a small text file to go along with the photo's I took on the
Mekka Symposium 99 held on Easter Weekend 1999 in Fallingbostel/Germany.
Credits to Padua for aranging all the C64 activities during this party.

Extra info's:

This party was also in honnor of Padua's 10 year celebration this year.
Also in April the Belgium based group Role is 10 years old.

All pictures where taken with a Canon Powershot 600 (unfortunatly not constantly with the
maximum quality).

If you recognise any of the people where my mind is a blank please don't hesitate to send
me an e-mail, and i'll update this textfile.

#01 - On the way to the party somewhere lost in Germany.. A picture taken by Sander/Focus..
----- It's Me, Bordeaux/Active standing infront of my 'new' 1983 Volkswagen Golf GTI.

#02 - Same place.. still lost, and it's Sander/Focus posing infront of the Golf.

#03 - The ACCEPT PARTY POSSE van.. incase you can't read most of the text on the car..
----- the main text is "APP - PURE SEX" Unfortunatly I was not able to take a snapshot of
----- good friend NED and his Accept Party Pussy Nadine, but trust me.. there were here :)

#04 - Unfortunatly due to the flasher the shots of the bigscreen are not all that.. anyhow
----- this c64 compopicture: "Underwater" by Katon/Lepsi De/Arise

#05 - Probably the best picture I ever saw... "Buntes Haus" by ???/???

#06 - "????" by ???/???

#07 - This shot is just part of an amazing 2 screen scrolling picture. The picture is called
----- "Might & Magic" and was drawn by Valsary/Samar/Lepsi De.

#08 - This is Bugjam/Role with a very old computer. If I remember correctly it is a 1979 Exile.
----- Unfortunatly he had troubles with the drives and couldn't get it to work on the party
----- itself. Anyone interested should contact him, coz if I remember correctly he was talking
----- about getting rid of it due to troubles finding space for all of his computers.

#09 - NO.. It's (unlike you might think) not a Microwave from 1980.. It's the original monitor
----- that goes with the Exile computer on symmek08.jpg.. and YES, it still works (and maybe
----- even goes PING after cooking for 2 minutes) :)

#10 - And you thought i finally managed to get a photo of CMD's new 3.5" drive??
----- WRONG.. it's the Exile floppydrives that did not want to work on the party. On the right
----- on the photo you'll find Master-S (blue shirt) and Matador (Yellow shirt) both of Excess

#11 - H-Bloxx/Excess looking naughty as usual after re-joining Excess on the party.

#12 - Black Duke and RHX of Excess.. RHX wondering whether or not to eat his bread with 
----- Ketchup, and Black Duke probably after just trying some of the delicious (?) frites
----- from the truck in the background.

#13 - From left to right.. Spinball/Excess (nice to finally see you on a party again Sascha),
----- ???/Excess (can't tell if it's Ghost or Stormfront), Master-S/Excess (finally back in
----- action again?) - ???/Metal Votze.

#14 - The friendly guys from Belgium celebration their groups 10 years this month...
----- ???/Role (aargh my memory sucks) and ofcourse our mister scene himself Commander/Role.

#15&- Paparazi at the accident... Just hanging outside for some minutes payed of when 2 pc
#16 - guys had a small car crash. The red fiat drove backwards into the green Volkswagen.
----- When he went to have a look he forgot his handbrake and nearly smashed it twice.
----- Lucky for me the Fiat driver was a pc scener so when i was laughing my head of whilest
----- taking these photo's I knew he was to wimpy to beat me up anyway.. hahaha

#17 - Party & IRC friend FCT always with a friendly smile when we meet. (Marco get your arsch
----- into finishing that demo, hehe).

#18 - From left to right.. Deekay/Crest and Graham/Oxyron hanging around DK's pc... and a
----- slightly suprised HCL/Booze Design behind the C64. Notice the C128 in the bottom of the
----- picture, but unfortunatly I puzzled by who was holding the Tuborg-beer behind it.

#19 - From left to right.. ???, the infamous partyfreak Weasel and ???.

#20 - Nice and friendly guy Sebaloz / Plush

#21 - A reasonable view of the party hall. Unfortunatly to my taste not much better compared
----- to the parties in Denmark judging by the amount of pc's.. 

#22 - A close-up of a tired RHX/Excess.

#23 - Raze of SCS-TRC posing infront of the hall filled with Pc's and Amiga's. Unfortunaly I
----- managed to loose the picture I took of CBA.

#24 - Belgium Role member ??? (sorry keep forgetting your handle) and a place full of trash.

#25 - Sitting: Commander/Role, Redhair: ???, Other standing guy Creb/???

#26 - Sitting between pc's.. from left to right.. Stirf/Role, Exile/Anubis, ???/Role(?), and 
----- the bit of blackhair in the front is from Arman/Role (previously known as S.U.C.K.)

#27 - My only gues is that this is where my picture of CBA disappeered to.. what ended up on
----- the photo is an artistic shot of my Fujitsu/Williams F1 baseball-cap and a lamp.

#28 - Reading the invitation of the symmek several times I guess a lot of people are wondering
----- Who the hell is MAT/OZONE, and why does he get in for Free ??? Well, this atleast shows
----- you his Amiga! And yes it works. He gets in for free on most parties.. cruzing from party
----- to party and sleeping in his car. As a poor scener from Spain (with former links to the
----- c64 scene aswell) he depends on sceners giving him some loose coins.. so if you see him
----- or his computer around.. drop a few coins in the cup!

#29 - Here's Mat after winning second prize in some amiga compo on this party.

#30 - A promissing new H/P guy who goes around under the name of Matador/Excess.

#31 - Cupid/Padua/Hitmen looking kinda, well.. like cupid :)

#32 - A nice picture of Brix/Plush also known as Onkel Wanja/GO64 Papermagazine. Aint seen him
----- in years so he looks a LOT different (read better) as to how i remembered him.

#33 - From left to right.. ???/Hitmen - Brix/Plush in the background - Deekay/Crest and Sander
----- of Focus, whilest DK was copying some gfx programs for Sander.

#34 - ???/Wow on the left, and diehard partyfreak Weasel on the rightside.

#35 - multitalent Rayden looking kinda wasted after a beer too many :)

#36 - Quite funny finding Dow Jones/Plush still awake after 3 days of partying.
----- sorry but i have no clue to how the other guys are.

#37 - The only glimpse i managed to take of CBA/SCS-TRC.. Niels, I promiss to take atleast 10
----- decent photo's of you on the X99 to make up for this mess :)

#38 - Burglar/SCS-TRC after finding out I messed up another photo of CBA.. actually he just 
----- woke up in time for the prize giving ceremony.

#39 - On the left with the orange t-shirt is Chaotic/Padua and on the total right is Burglar
----- of SCS-TRC accepting a prize for Raze (a wonderfull pink t-shirt) and announcing that the
----- X99 will most probably take place in October 1999.

#40 - Stan/Brainfart.. ehm Stan.. did you know brainfart was released already ??

#41 - I did it !!! after trying for hours i managed to get a glimpse of DIDI/Laxity who did not
----- want me taking his picture... :)

#42 - A very high quality (?) picture of Cyclone.

#43 - taken from quite some distance.. on the left Chaotic giving Sebaloz some prize...
----- sorry, somehow I figured I could get away with not mentioning who won which prizes :)

#44 - AEG/Smash looking very happy (?) after winning a C128-Music-Keyboard-pack with his 4k
----- compo code.

#45 - A shot just after the prize ceremony.. where the organizer were throwing pieces of C64
----- and amiga software into the public... VERA CRUZ... VERA CRUZ !!!!

#46 - Stan once again showing one of the few (?) copies of Vera Cruz still in original package.
----- Notice the joy on Stan's face realizing his obtained this original!

#47 - Another shot of the crowd during the through away.. 

#48 - The absolute proove that Airwolf/Genesis actually did come to the party!

----- since 1992.. Igor is buisy on Coding for Acrise PC these days.

#53 - Another shot of Crazy Igor after I was trying to convince him into returning to the C64
----- scene (did I mention he's a damn good coder!).

#54 - Arman/Role (previously known as S.U.C.K.) who unfortunatly I didn't notice untill the
----- handshaking goodbye's with everyone.

#55 - HCL/Booze trying to find his balance at the end of the party.

#56 - Chaotic/Padua who finally came down from the organizer booth to pose for a photo.
----- Thumbs up to him and his mates for this nice party.

Well.. that were all the (useable pictures) I took.. hope to do some more on the X99.. 

And hope to see everyone there..
