TRANCE, was started by Delirium on the Amiga and first was a dutch group, later on more sections came from all over the world. The PC division started in early 1994 and has only released one thing by now, a slide-show called Utopia which was released at Bizarre '94, it was a conversion from the Amiga's. Things are getting settled now on the PC Part and the PC-Members do start getting productive. TRANCE Holland-Amiga is very productive compared to others. List from all members around the world. GFX,Ray-Tracing Amiga Scavy Christophe Brand Musician Amiga Xave Xavier Coder,GFX Amiga -What do you like/dislike about the demo scene ? What I like about the demo scene is that it's one big family who do have a lot of healthy ideas and a lot of FUN !! -What is your opinion of the US ? My opinion of the US is that it's a weird country were everything is possible.Strangest thing is that they are taking to much care of other countries instead of solving their own problems. (Crime,Financial and the poorness in some parts of the US) But... one thing is for my opinion the same and that's how strange some things of law are. -What do you think of people in the US (i.e. stereotypes) ? What I think of the people in the US is that they're all much more heavier and do eat more fast-food than European people do.Further that they do watch a lot of talkshows about problems (Oprah Winfrey). -Career plans. At the moment I'm studying Computer Science and if everything is alright I'm leaving college when I'm 21 and then I hope to have found a job, specially something which has to do with graphics or such a thing like virtual reality. -Biggest disappointment in your life ? ..... Eeeehmmmmmm ........... I dunno ... maybe the ending of my holidays.. -Good advice for others to heed. Don't leave school before you finished it totally because it will be hard to find a job when you don't have a certificat and there are already to much people without a job. -Tell us something we should know. The most German people aren't bad as most people think... and I'm not even a German but a Dutchman. -What two people today would you like to meet ? - Don Lawrence from the comics 'Storm', because he is one of the best graphics artists of the world. - < fill in here :) > -What do you hope to accomplish in the demo scene ? Release a lot of demos/intros and have a whole lot of fun ! -How do you create your pictures and what else do you do ? Usually I do have an idea about what I'm going to draw, I do make a raw picture on paper (or on a schooldesk at school :) ) and try to make it better. How long it takes to finish a picture depends on what I'm drawing, the pictures I send in which I released at Bizarre '94 took me alltogether 35 hours and was all done in IBM StoryBoard Live 1.0. Logo's most of the times start at school during lessons when I'm just drawing something. Besides gfx I also do the Ansi which I create with The Draw 3.0 (Yes it's old but good enough for me !) and I do Ascii for use as headers or endpart from intros/demos and I'm creating them in Dos Edit (!!!). I do have a lot of pictures/logos etc finished already for use in a intro or demo but because the lack of time of me and most others we do not have the chance to make on piece of all the stuff. -Demo plans. We are planning to release a demo or intro for the PC at Party 4. The Amiga part of TRANCE Holland and also France are both planning to release a demo.TRANCE Holland is now busy with finishing a HARDCORE/RAVE Music Demo.Maybe.... also on SNES. -Are you working on other things at the moment ? At the moment I'm designing and drawing graphics for a arcade game with a little spaceship/plane which is being coded by Macaw and Jeanny. I'm also busy with drawing logo's and pics for Xtended Fantasies (XTF) a German Group who I hereby send my greets to !! Hi Dudes !! -Do you think most demo groups are too serious ? I don't think that demo groups are too serious because there has to be a sort of a discipline in the groups to get something released. -Personal life--what else do you do for fun ? Besides freaking I do watch a lot of videofilms, tour through whole Holland and have fun and the most important thing in my life is going on a vacation and be totally free !!!! -What does the future hold for you ? I hope the future will hold the demo-scene for me, even when I'm 85, being denial, spitting on my screen, I hope to stay a demo-freak. Besides that having a good job and nice wife. -Where do you see the demo scene in the next 10 years ? It keeps existing and I think most demos will be much more bigger, a lot of new groups will enter the scene and it will all flew to one big scene on one machine (I don't know what kind of system it will be, but I think it will be one with all now-known systems in one......). I think the demos will be something VR in which the watchers could 'experience' the demo. -What do you feel is missing from the demo scene ? WOMEN !!! -Will Virtual Reality ever catch on ? I hope so and I hope it will be growing and getting better and 'realer'. -Who do you send greets to ? Scene-Greetings going to (in alfabetical order): Access Denied, Acme, Cascada, Dante, Delusion, Dust, EMF, Epical, Future Crew, Ground Zero, Impact, Infinity, Legend Design, Majic 12, Mental Design, Noise Productions, Onyx, Phoney Coders, Public Enemy, Prime, Razor, Renaissance, Skull, Sonic PC, Supreme, Suprise! Productions, Triton, Twilight Zone, Vla, Void, Witan, Xography, Xtended Fantasies and to all other groups in the demo-scene not mentioned. Some personal greetings going to (in non-alfabetical order): All in Trance, Gert & Harmien, Elvira, WiTi, Badmuts, Prime Suspect, MDSO, Remco S., Rolf (Mercedes Rules !!! :) ), Martijn and all other friends & contacts !! -And final:'I love you Elvira !!
