Tran9 & Tran10 By Grazey / PHF ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ These two little programs enable you to create ST files using your Amiga. ST files are similar to the Amiga ADF standard, except that they use 9 & 10 sectors rather than the Amiga's 11. I wrote these two utilities so I could image disks on my Amiga whilst using my ST at the same time. I doubt they will be of interest to most people, but hey putting them online doesn't do any harm. Installation ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Copy tran9 & tran10 to your C: directory. Copy mfm.device to your devs: directory. Usage ~~~~~ There are two programs in this archive, tran10 & tran9. Use tran9 to copy disks with 9 sectors and tran10 for ones with 10 sectors (most menu disks etc). The programs do not read the BPB so they should also read some semi protected disks too. Both programs run from the command line. tran10 ? lists all the options But briefly, tran10 >FILENAME -d DEVICE 0 -s START_TRACK -e END_TRACK so for example tran10 >dh1:stdisk.st -d MFM 0 -s 0 -e 81 This would read an ST disk in DF0 and write tracks 0-81 into stdisk.st Any problems email grazey@tphf.karoo.co.uk http://phf.atari.org
