You are now in page #1 SOME INFO ABOUT THESE TUNES ------------------------------ Dance-Beat 4: 04:45 This tune is one of the biggest reasons for releasing this musicdisk. By now I have remixed and partly composed 7 big digiloop-tunes and also used quite a lot those nice loops in my "normal" compositions. Generally many people say that it is lame to steal samples and mix a tune out of them. Well, that`s their opinion, but if somebody says it is easy, I suggest he should try it. After choosing good records (CD:s), sampling the loops with right frequency, editing samples to a minimum length, picking a bunch of samples and instruments while trying not to use more than about 400 Kbytes, you have to tune all samples right and when you finally have the same BPM in every loop AND some good instruments (tuned right) it is time to start the most difficult part: THE REMIXING. For example in "Dance-Beat 4" there are 12 samples from 5 different CD:s and 9 other instruments. It is nearly the longest tune U can create by using Protracker (longest I have made is 451 Kbytes long Technotronic remix which lasts over 4 minutes), and still I have to (Continues on next page.) You are now in page #2 (From the previous page.) switch off the extra drive when loading it into PT. Of course it would be easier to digidize loops with lower frequency, but my slogan is: MUSIC COMES FIRST - FUCK THE MEMORY." (DJ. Joge 24.10.91) I have discovered that the best sampling-frequency seems to be ca. 16 KHz, and I do all the digidizing straight from CD-player using Sulky Fellow`s ancient but mighty "Pro Sound Designer". Thanks for always letting me borrow (or nearly keep?) it, Sulky!!! Angels Voice: 05:27 This piece of music was composed in an extremely short period during a weekend. I hadn`t composed anything for about 3 weeks and I just had to do something before a total boredom. There are certain lacks in the tune I could have changed but I guess it would be far too boring to do. I have always been an Enigma fanatic, and I have admired their and mostly F. Gregorians great taste in using that looooong Vangelis -sound. (I have made one remix from couple of tunes by Enigma with real choir voices, and it`s over 6,5 minutes/414 Kbytes long.) Finally I used that great solosample in "Angels Voice", and this is the result. You are now in page #3 Meditator: 07:27 WHAT! A Dj Joge composition that has not a single digidized loop! The story of this tune is following: I just decided not to use any of those lovely digiloops and make a tune that is long enough. Personally I think that the best part starts when about 2:50 is played, bcoz then the tune really "begins". I know that there are instruments older than my Amiga, but yet they fit perfectly into this artwork. Night before he and his wife had had a gigantic fight. Wife did not pleased much when she saw the flowers. She only asked: - Does this mean that next two weeks all I have to do is lie down in bed on my back with legs open? - Why, asked the man. - Don`t we have any other bowl? (From the bottomless supply of Sir Monkey`s dirty jokes.) You are now in page #4 OTHER STUFF... -------------- Since this is a Chrome-production, I have an opportunity to fill this space with bullshit. SULKY FELLOW/Vertig...erm the lazy himself: Thanks for Pro Sound Designer use. U know, it`s winter already. Try not to kill many people with your roadrunner Opel. SIR MONKEY/CHROME: Keep on coding, maybe an intro or demo later...?? Let`s start sampling from your synthesizer, ok? You are now in page #5 OTHER DUDES FROM THE NORTH: ------------------------------ RAY/CHROME: Nice sendings! Keep on doing those GFXs and let that scanner swing. Hope we`ll meet at christmas!
