outof, it's the outcome thats important!
and doing photomanips aint easy, thats like
saying drawing is easy when you're good at it.
photomanip takes skill, just as any other art does
like, everyone can draw, but not everyone can do
it well..same with photomanips

BeOS to me sounds like a toy, a toy who noone use, and noone produce apps for. Its prolly faster, i can agree, but, *g*, all it's 'pro's are just silly shit, like, 'it can handle HDs up to therabytes' and 'only OS that can run mp3s backwards', when one of yer main arguments are that it can play mp3s backwards, all i think of is Kais Power Goo, or something, something fishy...

hmm, toy ? I guess the audio engineers for the Olympics are morons, or maybe 25% of Broadway Musicals, or even possibly the engineers for Niketown stadium ? Hmm, I guess 26+ major audio developers are silly for pledging support too .. Maybe the audio community is just stupid for getting excited already of the coming ports in 3 months .. or maybe the fact that BeOS will definatly *own* the audio market in 12 months! What other OS can I mix 16+ tracks of audio and video , at the same time with no slowdowns. Not MacOS, Not Windows, Not Linux, Not UNIX. BeOS can.

As for Photoshop, not at the moment, you can thank Adobe for that. Adobe's CEO anyway. (personal grudge between him and Be's CEO). There are however clones coming out, one is actually nice .. !

As for getting it, $4 demo cd if you just want to try it out. $69 from BeDepot.com, full refund if you don't like it .. $25 upgrades. BUY SOMETHING FOR ONCE !

I'm not saying that BeOS sucks because it doesn't have Photoshop or anything. I'm sure it's a great OS, but as long as it doesn't have the apps I need, it's not much use to me. :(

HAHA, well, i wont say a word about OSs (other then, ik, BeOs might own the audio market, tho mac os own there too, but, arnt we in the graphics market? why would someone buy a os that rools the audio market, when graphics is yer thing? you buy what you need i say:P)
i just wanted to say that you should all get a scanner, or even a camera, and take yer own photos! that's not just the best in the legal kinda way, it's WAAAAAY better in the artistic kinda way, like, photos are totaly specific for yer image, no needing to adjust, or cut out parts of others....and it's totaly hires :P

bd, hehe, well, i dont have a camera myself, but i have a scanner, and everyone knows somewhere/someone who does...so, a scanner shouldn't be so hard to get access to... :P
btw, im now on vacation to one of norways finest winter, ehhh, places :P im surfin' on a pentium 60, overclocked to 90 and i use IE...bleh :P
oh, and atom..i dont' have access to email yet, but im workin' on it, same with irc :P
