the tentative name is the videogame Agora... its basic theme will be to provide a philosophical look at games rather than the age old fiction of just looking at videogames as a mindless form of entertainment.. Developers such as Shigeru Miyamoto (Nintendo EAD), Kazutoshi Iida (Param), and Hideo Kojima (Konami) are steadily raising videogames to a level above just being "fun." this site will be to examine just what the future of gaming holds for us.. its content will mostly be:
- videogame industry news (multiplatform, consoles)
- major pc game announcement news
(not much though)
- previews / reviews on specific games
- philosophical essays relating to videogames (i.e. "what is interactive entertainment?" and "what are really are 2D/3D games?" etc)
- message bases with philosophical topics having to do with videogames
- interviews with industry figures sometime down the road
extras:
- Links, mailbag, screenshots, etc..
- MAYBE a small digital artscene section with
some hirez artwork and news on display
