Fast ram is taken advantage of, but isn't required. Installation ------------ Pretty simple this one.. copy all the files to one directory and execute the file called "Dreams". A HD is required - of course you could *try* running it from a floppy disk, but I don't envy your chances of succeeding. In any case, the program will first look in PROGDIR: followed by Dreams: If this is to run on 2 meg machine, first hold down both mouse buttons on startup, disable all unnecessary disk drives and partitions, and boot with no startup sequence. CLI Options ----------- SystemInts Uses system interrupts (AddIntServer, SetIntVector) instead of hardware hitting interrupts Multitask Enables multitasking, and blitter queueing. From the main menu use Left-Alt+Control, or Left-Amiga+Control to switch back to the system (to return to the slideshow, press the same key combination a second time). This option automatically selects 'SystemInts' HWBlit Cancels blitter queueing (this is usually set by default, but can be used in combination with 'Multitask') Quiet Skips all all sound output. Along with 'SystemInts' or 'Multitask' this allows you to play some different music in the background SkipIntro Skips the introduction sequence MultiLoad Forces pictures to be loaded as they are seen, even if there's enough memory to load everything at once. SkipLoadView0 Skips LoadView(0), WaitTOF, WaitTOF (for those of us that actually notice a two frame delay on startup.. :) ) Music ----- If you like, different music can be loaded by specifying the path/filename of a P61 module (better known as "The Player 6.1a" which is available through Aminet) in parentheses. For example: Dreams (RAM:SpaceDebris) Multiload would read a P61 module called "SpaceDebris" from RAM: before starting. The intro timing changes slightly if external music is read. The original music's memory is purged in this case (as it is with 'Quiet'), so if you're short on memory, smaller music could help. · . + . · · . · + · . · . · . · . · . · + · + . · . . · . . · . + . + . · . . · . · · . . · . · .· + . . · · . · · · . . . . + . · · . + . · . · · .· + . . . · + . · · + . · . . . · · . .· . · . · . . · + . . . · · . · . · . · . · . . . + . . .
