Getting started

How to begin working on textures

You now have this program in front of you and don't know what to do with it. How to create those nice textures which are seen all over the internet. TTM has a very complex and, on the first look, a confusing interface. All those buttons and you don't know which to press first. Don't worry. Test all the buttons and look what happens, you can't damage anything.

First steps

Here are some steps which you can do first.

-Choose a color by clicking on the CHOOSE COLOR button.
-Press the PLASMA button to get a base for your texture.
-Click on the circle + button at the drawing operations
-Add a blending DROP by pressing its button.
-Run a horizontal wave by clicking on the UP button at the wave operations
-Also run a vertical wave by clicking on its button.
-Click on the MAKE TEXTURE SEAMLESS button which is blinking after a operation.

Look, the raw texture was copied to the finished texture and TTM made it seamless.
There's a scroll bar on the multitile preview window. Move it to scale the finished texture and maximize the window to see how it would look as a desktop background.
If you like the texture you can save it by pressing the save scaled texture button.

Congratulation, you created your first texture.
