Compusphere 97 - The Rebirth.

Compusphere was a party held in Uddevalla/Sweden between 28th and 30th
November. Since Uddevalla is not so far from my place I had decided to take
train. So me, Baloo, Poison and Jus was about to take the train. We got to
the train central with Baloo's parents, and it was not hard to get everything
in the car since we only had Baloo's computer with us. At train station we
we were really early, and we had to wait for Poison and Jus for about 20
minutes.
Well, the train started going, and nothing spectacular happened at the train,
it was quite fun, but nothing special. Jus had taken some of his grand mom's
glasses from the early 60's and it was really cool. They were really ugly.
Hmm, we came to Uddevalla train central and we had to wait in 50 minutes
to get someone with a car that could drive us to the party place. Well, after
we have got driven with the car, we met Dr. Stock, which we said hello to, and
since he Baloo, Poison and Jus are members of Blocc, we could get in through
the back door.
We got in to the partyhall and my first impression from it was that it was
really big. There were already lots of visitors there and everybody seemed
busy with unpacking their stuff.
I met Flex/Blocc, and we the first thing we did was wishing a happy birthday,
since he became 18 that day. Then we looked after a table to sit at, but
everything seemed to be busy, so we had to get some extra tables, and we
placed out our own tables.
Here I met Blackpercy, which had lend me a cdrom at the last party, and finally
he could get it back, it was a cd with porno, so guess if he was happy.
Well, now there we sat, with our tables and computers, but unfortunately, we
had no power. So, we was waiting for about 1 and a half hour. During this time
we went to say hallo to all other we know at the party and to pay the entrance
fee. I got in really cheap, 30sek for all days + got access to vote.
Well, I met some cool norwegian dudes, I think it was Xhale, Fid & Thumbz, 
they we're quite angry since they were not allowed to buy beer on the boat on
their way to sweden, so they had to buy some shitty class 2 beer on a gas-
station nearby. We chitchatted a little and watched some intros they had
brought, it looked quite good.
At this time, also some good ol' friends joined our little table, Coin, Piglet,
Balrog, Airhead and Whisker (with his ugly haircut). They had brought a non
scener too, his name was Tim or so, he was really a nice guy.
I had nothing to do at this time, so I had no choice, hihi, I started booze.
I drank some Vodka+Juice and some shitty old Alcoholic Soda's.. gash.. my
stomach. Well, hmm, got quite drunk that night, and nothing spectacular
happened. I talked a little with the swedish Amiga legend Dj.Cat/Keso and I
helped him up when he fell on the floor and I gave him a half cookie. He became
really happy. Later we met some 14 years old chicks, but they were to busy
sleeping since the time was about 4 in the morning. :)
I fell asleep around 7 or so, and I wooked up about 3 or four hours later.
Uhh, my stomach. Gosh. It felt like a dick on it's way to orgasm.
Well, I bought a little sandwich with Balrog and Piglet, and we sat down
eating, but one sandwich is not enough so two hours later, I walked along with
some dudes to Mc.Donalds, hehe, it was cold, and we had too wait for 15 minutes
until they opened the doors, and Whisker had no socks in his summer shoes.
During this day I heard some rumors from the sleeping hall that have happened
during the night.
Poison had said something like "Muna!" in his sleep. For those who not know,
muna means something like dick on Finnish.
After I had eaten that BigMac for breakfast and returned to the partyplace,
I felt really tired. So me and Piglet took our sleeping bags and our pillows
and went sleeping for an hour or so. After that nap I felt like a new and
fresh Goofy.
Well, the day went on, and there was a huge delay on the compos. About 2 or 3
hours I think. Uhm, the pixel compo started. And there were some trouble with
resolutions and such with the projector to the bigscreen, so some pictures was
not shown, and had to be shown again. Well, some pics were really good, such
as NamNam/Blocc, TMX, Baloo's and some more which I can't remember.
Well, after pixelcompo it was raytrace, but, since I think raytrace compos are
really boring, I won't tell you about the pics here. :)
The day went on again, and soon it was night, me and Piglet (again) felt hungry
and we went searching for a local pizzeria, and we had to go far, since in two
of the closest pizzerias the owner looked like a hairy buther from a horror
movie or something, so we didn't dare to eat at those restaurants. But after
half an hour of walking, we finally found a cheap place.
We ate our pizza's and were really happy.
Humm, we went back to the partyplace and there we sat down for a while, then
Flex thought of going to the local pub to take a beer. Well, me, Flex, Piglet,
Dr.Stock and Balrog went off. After an hour of walking and snowball throwing
we found this really boring place. For Flex, Dr.Stock and Balrog it was no
problem to buy a drink, but for me and Piglet it was hell, since the bartender
was gay. He didn't wanted to sell some beer too us.
Well, we could be in the bar anyway, and we sat down in the bar and talked
about the misterys of life like girls, cars, haircuts and teeths. We went back
to the partyplace and we picked up some booze Balrog had in his car. Well, we
started booze again. And we drinked alot of ciders. But then after some hours,
we didn't feel drunk enough, so we went off to a local store which was open
late at night to buy some complementary beers. And we bought some six packs and
went back again. A lot of walking this party.
Me and Flex started to flirt with some girls, well, it went out fine.. The
intro compo started, and there was alot of trouble, since the compo-computer
had not enough memory so everything bugged. And they had to run all intros
again. Blocc's intro was the best. Then there was some other good one, but
they still didn't have "it". Wild compo started, and there was not one single
serious production. Snabel3 was the best production in this compo.
At this point I'm really drunk, and I'm really tired too, so my brains kind of
out of function. The democompo starts, and I almost fell asleep in this girl
knee (tjena Therese!!) but then they show the Elfsong demo. Woaaa! really cool
for being a Swedish production. Elvis Brothers demo was nice too (hej Alex).
Hmm, the girl say something about go home to her friend, and she try to talk to
her so me and Flex can visit her :) And then stupid me fall asleep. Not good.
Well, I woke up and drank some water with Flex for breakfast.
Then there was price ceremony.
There was 2 really bad things with this price ceremony.
First, they should have kicked out this hairy thing that spoked in the micro-
phone, he was so boring. Next time, let a girl do the speaking.
Second, they had "put" together the 64kb compos (amiga&pc) in some strange way
before telling the contestants. Really bad. Read more about this in Flex

Well, after the ceremony we had a little rush, so we could catch the train, but
it seems like I didn't forget anything at the party place.
