Some of you may not agree with some of my views expressed in the following article, I will however, talk to you on IRC about my views if it really concerns you to that high of a nature.

The next generation, well, what I mean by this is that, within the next few years, the "art scene" will be changing dramatically. I agree that the quality of work has stayed the same throughout the past few years, but mostly, the quantity of artists composing ansi's(art in general) is deteriorating. In my opinion, the reason for this, is a generation change, all artist's from acid in like, 1993, when ansi's were composed more often, have "grown up" and given up on ansi drawing. For example here is a small list (off the top of my head) of artists's from large groups around 1993, who have "grown up" and given up on ansi(or art in general at that); Stone the Crow, Darkforce, and a few others.. I think that this problem will be solved, when all the 13-14 year old's right now, who are just learning things such as drawing ansi's, ascii's, too every- thing too ircii, will eventually take over the scene in a way. I realize that there will still be the odd person who right now is 16-19, that will be still involved in the "art scene" in 2-3 years, when all the 13-14 year old's will be 16-19.

I feel like one of those guys who predicts the future, I am not usually this "politically correct" but, I thought would write something serious for this article. But, why that I'm on the subject of "The next generation", I also believe that "The next generation" will strictly be based on Internet, for proof, take a look at your local area code, there are not merely as many "art" boards as there was, in the 1992-94 period. BUT, I also believe that this period will not last long, maybe only 1-2 years, then the "Internet" will collapse under its own weight, and a new "World-wide telecommunication network" will be born. And, this will be the basis of the "art scene", I'll leave you with those words to think on, if you really care..
